The Association of Women in Finance (AWF) had the pleasure of hosting both Jenny Knapp-Parce, Customer Experience Leader for Commercial Banking at Wells Fargo & Co. and Pam Campbell, Chief Financial Officer at Metrie at our latest Fireside Chat series. The event was held at the Terminal City Club and our guests were treated to drinks, appetizers, and an evening of networking and conversation moderated by Melanie Bradley, Director, AWF and Partner, Borden Ladner Gervais.
Pam and Jenny opened up to our guests in a frank and honest discussion. We were able to get an insight into the professional paths these women have taken while learning about the ins and outs of commercial lending from both the perspectives of a borrower (Pam) and a lender (Jenny). Both women spoke to the audience about navigating the challenging waters of operating within heavy financial regulations on both sides of the border. We heard about how Know Your Client requirements, that initially seem daunting, can actually allow a lender to provide a more tailored service offering and creates a foundation of trust on both sides. Both women draw on their team to drive business forward, with a focus on creating leaner processes that allow team members to use their time for value added activities. Jenny and Pam spoke about what it takes to be successful in their respective roles and we heard their thoughts on trends that are posing both risks and opportunities in the future.
Thank you for the continuous support from our attendees, our sponsor, Wells Fargo Bank, and our guest speakers for another successful evening.
