Cathy completed her first solo at 16 years of age and is currently the only person in Canada that holds a “Transport Canada Pilot Examiner” status in both aeroplanes and helicopters. Cathy acts as chair for the flight training committee for HAC (Helicopter Association of Canada) and is a board member for BCAC (BC Aviation Council), as well as the IWF (International Women’s Federation). In 2019, Cathy was named one of Women’s Executive Network: Top 100 Canada’s Most Powerful Women to add to her already impressive list of aviation accomplishments and awards.

 

Loretta Fulton founded of ALCA Distribution in 2007. Along with her husband and business partner, Doug, the Fultons operate a wholesale distribution business in the baby & children’s industry. ALCA Distribution brings a portfolio of innovative quality products to the Canadian consumer, supported by a first-class customer service ethos and family centered team. With a background in IT and telecommunications, Loretta focusses on systems, business process evolution and efficiencies in an ever changing business.

 

Heather James started Active Safety Management in 2009 and has worked with hundreds of first aid attendants and safety officers on just as many projects across the Lower Mainland. Prior to starting Active, Heather worked as an industrial first aid attendant on the oil rigs, as a ski patroller and a lifeguard. Today, she speaks each month to the BCIT CSO class on how to work collaboratively to obtain buy in from site workers and supervisors. For fun, she takes her stand-up act to the stage (pandemic willing) and enjoys safely participating in several extreme sports like mountain biking, skydiving, and snowboarding. Heather loves sharing the lessons she’s learned as a result of building her business with the people she appreciates most – the ones building our cities.
